The VI Sea Turtle Project

Five & One
Create a brand. Make a product. Help the community.

The Logo. The Brand
VI Sea Turtle Project or VISTP doesn't roll off the tongue, it's not fun to say like Nike or Addidas. Therefor, the VI Sea Turtle Project set off to discover a brand name that reflects its Caribbean roots and pays homage to the Virgin Islands. What emerged from the brainstorming and cloud seeding came to be, Five & One.
The creation of logo and more importantly the brand has a goal to sell its clothing to the more than 2 million tourists that visit the Virgin Islands every year. We will admit, however, we hope locals like the product enough to be supportive of our mission. The profit from the tee shirt and clothing sales will be split between the VI Sea Turtle Project and the community.

The Products
Sea turtles will have a prominent place in the Five & One clothing brand because the VI Sea Turtle Project works to conserve and preserve sea turtles in the Virgin Islands. Sea turtles also have a prominent place in the brand because if our experience has taught us anthing it is that, tourists have a very favorable opinion of turtles and enjoy seeing them on their trip. Whether sitting on the shore, snorkeling, or diving, interacting with a sea turtle is a positive experience.
The tee shirt above is the first shirt by Five & One and is our "I Turtle VI" shirt. All shirts are produced locally, for the local sea turtles and the community.

Smith Bay, St. Thomas
Located on the East end of St. Thomas is the the community of Smith Bay. Within the community is the Smith Bay Community Action Foundation. The foundation works to express and improve the conditions of the residents within their community.
The Vi Sea Turtle Project and the SBCAF have come together to improve civic conditions with Smith Bay. The first project being approached is the rejuvenation of the Smith Bay basketball, little league, and playground area. All clothing sales from the Five & One brand will support this project.
